I’m Rechell, the operational director of Henderson Mental Health. I have spent over ten years building and running psychiatry practices from the ground up. My background includes Practical Nursing, Medical Assistant and Pharmacy Technician certifications, and I’m also a Certified Trauma Recovery Yoga Instructor. Outside work, family comes first, and I’m always pushing myself to grow personally and professionally.

I work with teens and adults across a wide range of diagnoses, helping people understand their symptoms and build real, lasting progress. Jen, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Meet Jen, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

I’m Jen, a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of nursing experience, including high-acuity and cardiac care. That clinical background shapes how I think about the whole person, not just the diagnosis. I work with individuals across the lifespan, supporting mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and complex presentations through strong diagnostic skills, medication management, and honest conversation. I believe good psychiatric care starts with feeling heard. Cultural humility and shared decision-making are at the center of everything I do.

I’m Arkay, a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a BSN from Angeles University Foundation in the Philippines and an MSN from Charles R. Drew University. Before specializing in psychiatry, I built clinical experience across medical-surgical, critical care, labor and delivery, and long-term acute care settings. That depth informs how I see the whole person, not just the diagnosis. I work with patients of all ages and I’m passionate about making mental health care feel welcoming, stigma-free, and truly accessible to everyone.

I trained at Nevada State and Herzing University and teach mental health nursing locally. Outside work, family and pets keep me grounded and fuel the empathy I bring to every session.

Chelsie Lawter, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

I’m Chelsie Lawter, a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner trained at Vanderbilt University. I work with adults who want to understand their symptoms in context and strive to take a thoughtful, whole-person approach to mental health care. My work often integrates medication management and therapy, drawing from IFS, ACT, and CBT-informed approaches while also considering medical history, lifestyle, trauma, relationships, and other factors which may impact your mental health. I believe medication decisions should be careful, collaborative, and purposeful, and when appropriate, I aim to simplify treatment rather than add complexity. Above all, I want patients to feel genuinely heard and supported in building a treatment plan that feels grounded, individualized, and sustainable.

Jessi Sommer, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Intern

I’m Jessi, a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. I’m a Las Vegas native and earned my BA in Psychology and Theatre Arts at UNLV. I spent two years in Seattle, Washington, attending Antioch University for my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, and now I’m back in Nevada working as an MFT State Intern.

Before I started my clinical work, I worked in healthcare administration, provided crisis advocacy for survivors of domestic violence, and facilitated mental health support groups through NAMI.

I’m trained in Brainspotting Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), two trauma informed approaches for reducing traumatic symptoms. My practice centers on how impactful life events affect your mental, physical, and relational well-being. I use a narrative approach to help you reshape your story in creative ways. Therapy isn’t one size fits all, so I collaborate with you and stay flexible about which treatment path fits your needs best. My goal is to build a relationship where you feel safe to speak up.

Above all, I’m a cat mom to my beloved Trixie and I love animals. Outside of therapy, I practice yoga for my own self-care and I enjoy traveling.
