Our Team
At Henderson Mental Health, our team includes licensed therapists, psychiatric providers, and dedicated clinicians in training who serve clients across Nevada through secure online counseling. We provide therapy and psychiatry for teens, adults, couples, and families, with expertise in CBT, DBT, ERP for OCD, EMDR, and other evidence-based treatments.
Our licensed providers bring years of experience, while our therapists-in-training offer fresh perspective and a strong commitment to client care. Together, we make high-quality mental health services accessible to residents of Henderson, Las Vegas, Reno, Carson City, and beyond. Whether you’re looking for individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, or psychiatric support, our team is here to help you take the next step.
Meet Rechell, Operational Director
I’m Rechell, the operational director of Henderson Mental Health. I have spent over ten years building and running psychiatry practices from the ground up. I handle the behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything running, contracting, credentialing, billing, and staff training, so our clinicians stay focused on patient care. My background includes Practical Nursing, Medical Assistant and Pharmacy Technician certifications, and I’m also a Certified Trauma Recovery Yoga Instructor. Outside work, family comes first, and I’m always pushing myself to grow personally and professionally.
Meet Freddy, Clinical Director
Hi, I’m Freddy, the clinical director of Henderson Mental Health. Our team and I work with clients across Nevada through a secure virtual platform, offering therapy, psychiatry, couples and family counseling, and ERP treatment for OCD, all from wherever you feel most comfortable. When you work with us, you get a provider who shows up prepared, listens closely, and builds a treatment plan around your actual life and goals. Whether you’re looking for ongoing therapy or medication management, we’re here to help you find your way forward.

Chelsie Lawter, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I’m Chelsie Lawter, a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner trained at Vanderbilt University. I work with adults who want to understand their symptoms in context and strive to take a thoughtful, whole-person approach to mental health care. My work often integrates medication management and therapy, drawing from IFS, ACT, and CBT-informed approaches while also considering medical history, lifestyle, trauma, relationships, and other factors which may impact your mental health. I believe medication decisions should be careful, collaborative, and purposeful, and when appropriate, I aim to simplify treatment rather than add complexity. Above all, I want patients to feel genuinely heard and supported in building a treatment plan that feels grounded, individualized, and sustainable.
Meet Kate, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
I’m Kate, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Nevada and Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona with over 20 years of experience. I’ve worked as both a therapist and clinical supervisor across community mental health, the US Armed Forces, and state of Nevada settings. I believe mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health are deeply connected, and my approach reflects that. I work eclectically and always put the person in front of me at the center of their care. That’s been true for two decades, and it’s not changing.

Jessi Sommer, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Intern
I’m Jessi, a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. I’m a Las Vegas native and earned my BA in Psychology and Theatre Arts at UNLV. I spent two years in Seattle, Washington, attending Antioch University for my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, and now I’m back in Nevada working as an MFT State Intern.
Before I started my clinical work, I worked in healthcare administration, provided crisis advocacy for survivors of domestic violence, and facilitated mental health support groups through NAMI.
I’m trained in Brainspotting Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), two trauma informed approaches for reducing traumatic symptoms. My practice centers on how impactful life events affect your mental, physical, and relational well-being. I use a narrative approach to help you reshape your story in creative ways. Therapy isn’t one size fits all, so I collaborate with you and stay flexible about which treatment path fits your needs best. My goal is to build a relationship where you feel safe to speak up.
Above all, I’m a cat mom to my beloved Trixie and I love animals. Outside of therapy, I practice yoga for my own self-care and I enjoy traveling.
