What Is a Fully Licensed Mental Health Professional?

A fully licensed mental health professional is someone who has completed advanced education, extensive clinical training, and supervised experience to provide mental health care. They are certified and regulated by state licensing boards, which means they are qualified to diagnose mental health conditions, offer therapy, and support individuals facing emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges. At Henderson Mental Health, our licensed providers are committed to offering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your needs.

Post-Grad Clinical Interns

What Is a Post-Graduate Licensed Intern?

A post-graduate licensed intern is a mental health professional who has completed their master’s degree and earned a provisional license to practice. While working under the supervision of fully licensed clinicians, they provide therapy and support to clients as they build experience toward full licensure. At Henderson Mental Health, our interns are highly trained, compassionate providers who offer quality care while continuing to grow in their clinical expertise.

Master’s level clinicians often provide individual, family, and group counseling, helping clients navigate challenges and work toward lasting emotional well-being.

Medication Management & Psychiatry Cash Rates

Initial Appointment

$150

What to Expect at Your Initial Psychiatry Appointment

Your first psychiatry or medication management appointment typically lasts about 60 minutes. During this session, your provider will take time to get to know you, discussing your medical history, current symptoms, past treatments, and any concerns you may have. The goal is to understand your unique experience and create a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs. This may include medication recommendations, therapy referrals, or lifestyle adjustments to support your overall well-being.

Follow-up Appointment

$100

What to Expect at a Psychiatry Follow-Up Appointment

A follow-up appointment for medication management typically lasts about 20 to 30 minutes and focuses on how you’re doing since your last visit. Your provider will check in on your symptoms, review how your current medications are working, and discuss any side effects or concerns you may have. Together, you’ll talk through any challenges with your treatment plan and decide if any changes are needed to help you feel your best. These sessions are an important part of staying on track with your mental health goals.

About

Good Faith Estimate Notice

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
